anxiety
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with what’s going on in the world today. There’s often too much to do, with too little time to do it, and feeling like you can’t keep up is a common experience. When worry begins to take over it can cause difficulty sleeping, tension headaches, and a racing heartbeat. It can be hard to feel like you’re able to wind down or just relax.
By helping you learn to be mindful of your body’s responses, you can disrupt the patterns that keep you stuck in a stressed-out state. We will work together to help you practice alternative ways of thinking that can lead to feeling more calm, grounded, and centered. Setting healthy boundaries and engaging in regular self-care practices can be a welcome outcome of this process.
“Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know.” - A.A. Milne
Depression
The experience of depression can be hard to talk about or describe. You may likely feel sad more often than not and might be feeling helpless and hopeless. If so, you’re not alone. When struggling with depression, it’s common to feel run-down and not feel like yourself.
After getting support to make small and consistent behavioral changes, a feeling of hope can return. It’s possible to get better sleep and feel more energized to get through your day. Our work together will focus on finding openings to care for yourself in ways that feel manageable.
